3. Rosin extraction: This involves using heat and pressure to extract the cannabinoids from the plant material. This method is simple and can be done at home with a hair straightener and parchment paper.


After the cannabinoids are extracted from the plant material, they must be purified. Purification involves removing any impurities, such as plant waxes and chlorophyll, from the oil. This can be done through a process called winterization, which involves soaking the oil in ethanol and freezing it to remove the impurities.


After the oil is purified, it must be distilled to further refine the cannabinoids. Distillation involves heating the oil to a specific temperature to vaporize the cannabinoids, which are then condensed and collected. This process can be repeated several times to produce a highly concentrated oil.


After the oil is distilled, it can be formulated into a variety of products, including:

1. Tinctures: These are liquid extracts that are typically taken sublingually (under the tongue).

2. Edibles: These are food products that are infused with the oil, such as gummies and brownies.

3. Topicals: These are creams and lotions that are infused with the oil and applied to the skin.

4. Vape cartridges: These are cartridges that are filled with the oil and used with a vaporizer.
