Keynote Speaker: Nurse Brooke Schwarz, MSN, BSN, CNL

Brooke has over 25 years of nursing experience, over 3 years in the cannabis industry, certified by the Medical Cannabis Wellness Advisory Training, and is a member of the American Cannabis Nurses Association. She has a Masters Degree in Nursing and is certified in Clinical Nurse Leadership. Brooke has presented to Rush University Medical Center, The Friendship Village Assisted Living, and the Chicago Chapter of Oncology Nurses held at Loyola University Medical Center.

With Hemp recently legalized due to the 2014 and 2018 Farm Bills, she has dug in to help educate others and help change the stigma related to cannabis. As health and wellness are the foundation of Brooke’s work for patients and caregivers alike she finds herself at the forefront educating people about the health benefits of cannabinoids found in cannabis and the significant impact they can have on people’s lives. She is a firm believer in the use of cannabis in response to the opioid crisis and is passionate about improving people’s quality of life and health utilizing the non-addictive benefits of the plant.
