About this Event
Based on the need to educate our community regarding the new cannabis laws, public health, social services, and the workplace, Oakton Community College’s Department of Workforce Development is hosting a Cannabis Panel Discussion with experts from the community.
Panelists:
- Public Health (Dr. Catherine Counard, Village of Skokie Department of Health)
- Law Enforcement (Commander Bob Libit, Village of Skokie Police Department)
- Workforce (Attorney Howard Lapin)
- Social Services (Maureen McDonnell, PEER Services)
- Education (Melissa Mendoza , Oakton Chair of the Cannabis Program
- Cannabis Industry (Pamela Althoff, Cannabis Business Association of Illinois)
Moderated by Oakton Dr. Ruben Howard II, Director of Workforce Development and Strategic Partnerships.
This panel discussion will be held on March 31st from 6:30-8:00 pm at the Skokie Campus located at 7701 N. Lincoln Avenue in Rooms P103 and P104. Light refreshments will be served.
