0High Times: Cannabis as a Vehicle for Social Change
The 30th annual DePaul Law Review Symposium will focus on the ways in which Illinois’s legalization of recreational marijuana for adult use is acting as a vehicle for social equity. The symposium will feature presentations on the legislative, legal, and activist elements of Illinois’s legalization efforts. The discussion will highlight the current state of the legislation’s social equity component, as well as potential pitfalls that may need to be addressed in subsequent amendments. Attendees are encouraged to engage with speakers during sessions to facilitate solution-based dialogue about using law, policy, and grassroots activism to realize the potential of cannabis to promote social equity in Illinois and the nation at large.
Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments will be served at the event.DePaul University College of Law is an accredited CLE provider. This event has been approved for up to 4.00 general CLE credits.
NOTE: Walk-ins can register at the door on a first-come-first-served basis as space permits.
