Normalizing Banking for Cannabis Related Businesses

The Office of the Illinois State Treasurer is hosting a summit focused on how Illinois is working to remove the barriers unique to banking in the cannabis industry. Panelists, including financial institutions currently serving Cannabis-Related Businesses (CRBs), state regulators, and state legislators, will have candid discussions on how they have moved the bar toward normalizing cannabis banking and how they plan to continue to confront banking issues raised by the conflict between state and federal law.

This summit is relevant to those in banking including CEOs, Board of Directors, legal counsel, COO, CFO, compliance, and risk officers. Interested bankers’ associations and public officials and/or their staff are welcome.
