Question: Do I need to be an Illinois resident?
In order to qualify for Illinois’ medical cannabis program, you must be an Illinois resident, but we also help Iowa residents qualify for Iowa’s program.
Question: Will I see a doctor at my first visit?
Yes, you will see a doctor on your first visit.
Question: Do I need a prior diagnosis?
Previous medical records relating to your qualifying condition are always accepted, but we can diagnosis-specific medical conditions or refer you to someone who can.
Question: I need to renew my card, but I originally went to another doctor. Will your doctor re-certify me?
Yes, of course! First, we will need to establish a relationship.
Question: If I am a qualifying patient or designated caregiver in Illinois and hold a valid Medical Cannabis Card, are my Firearms Owners Identification Card and Concealed Carry License still valid?
According to the state police website: “Marijuana cardholders will not have their FOID or CCL cards revoked, or be denied issuance of a FOID or CCL card, due to their status as a medical marijuana cardholder. Such cards are State-issued, governed by State law, and State law requires that a person’s status as a medical marijuana cardholder not result in the denial of any right or privilege.”

No, you must submit your application online, but we will help you with this free of charge.
Question: I have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. Do I qualify?
Yes. Also, there is no state fee for terminal patients.
Question: Are you required to get your fingerprints taken in order to get your medical cannabis card?
No. The state removed background checks on August 28, 2018.
