Join us at Sulcanna in beautiful downtown Hanover, Illinois to celebrate Hempatrick’s Day!

St. Patrick is celebrated for bringing Christianity to Ireland, defending the persecuted, and using the Shamrock to explain his core beliefs.

Using St. Patrick as our inspiration on this green themed holiday, we are hosting the first annual Hemptrick’s Day. This education and networking event is our way of celebrating bringing hemp to Illinois! Although the first year was rough for many, some folks did great. The difference? Education, networking, and small scale.

Your Sulcanna Hemp Cooperative is a champion and defender of local family farms.

This HemPatrick’s Day we are using the cannabis leaf to explain our seven core values:

1. Education – The Cooperative leverages our shared knowledge, collaborates in research, and enables access to leading experts in our field.
2. Small – Small grow, big profits! Each Cooperative Member grows less than 10 acres.
3. Craft – The Cooperative supports horticulture best practices that result in consistently high-quality harvests.
4. Sustainable – We believe in sustainable agronomy and business practices.
5. Democratic – We believe in one-farm one vote. Farmer’s voices need to be heard!
6. Transparent – The Cooperative adds genuine value and has no need to hide processes from our member farmers.
7. Profit – Nothing is sustainable unless it’s profitable. Although the Sulcanna Hemp Agricultural Cooperative is a Non-Profit, we are organized expressly for the purpose of putting more money in the pockets of farmers.

Hempatrick’s Day Agenda

1:00-3:00 Facility Tours – We will have stations explaining cultivation, research & development, and extraction processes. A briefing will be available at each station. These briefings will run concurrently every 20 minutes. So please “pollinate” the stations that interest you most!

1:00-3:00 Resource & Product Expo – Various booths will represent our Cooperative Members who have smokable flowers and other craft products to sell. We have also invited several local resource providers who will have helpful information for hemp farmers and entrepreneurs. Our Sulcanna Retail Shop will also be open for business. Additionally, we will have a booth where you can sign up for the Sulcanna Cooperative and get all your Cooperative questions answered.

1:00-3:00 Curbside Consulting – Expert consultants and experienced farmers will be hosting our curbside consulting. Sign up for one of our 10-minute consulting sessions and ask away! We will do our best to address your needs and get you going in the right direction.

3:00-5:00 Hemp Education Session & Networking – We will have experts speaking on hemp cultivation, agronomy, and other useful topics for Cooperative Members and those seeking to grow hemp this year. We will also organize some structured networking so that you can get to know your neighbors and other farmers.

5:00-7:00 Hanover Hempatrick Pub Crawl – Enjoy our local small town hospitality! Less than a 30-second walk from Sulcanna is the first pub on our Hanover Hempatrick Pub Crawl. Each registered attendee will receive one free drink ticket from each participating Hanover pub. Consume Responsibly & Enjoy the best HemPatrick’s Day ever!
